What to believe?

Currently in our world we hear so many different stories from the media and on the internet. It makes people everywhere wonder what to believe. Is this virus a hoax? Is this really a highly contagious virus that could cause us or our loved ones to become gravely ill? Should we stay at home as we have been ordered to, we seem to have no real answers to many of our questions.

We may not have all the answers right now, but they will be revealed. “For nothing is secret that will not be revealed, nor anything hidden that will not be known and come to light.” Luke 8:17

Hebrews 13:17 says we are to obey our leaders and submit to them. They will have to give an account to God for any wrongdoing toward the people they have been trusted with to watch over and protect.

So, if we feel we are being treated wrong or being lied to by our leaders what are we to do? 1 Peter 5:7 tells us to cast all our cares on God because he cares for us. And “All things work together for good to them that love the Lord and are called according to his purpose” Romans 8:28 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding but in all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6

So, what do we believe? God’s word. We obey our leaders, cast our cares on the Lord, trust in him alone and he will work it all out for our good. In other words, we do our part and God will take care of the rest.
