Sometimes there is just too much. I don't know about you, but lately I have been on overload. Until recently I didn't realize just how much that I had been effected by, too much.
I know we have to be informed as to what is going on in the world around us but if we are not careful it can begin to effect our health, mentally and physically.
I didn't think I was stressed and felt I was handling all of this pandemic crisis very well. What I didn't realize was that while focusing on all the information and trying to decipher what was true. I was neglecting my own well being.
I began breaking out in hives. Feeling exhausted. Even the most menial tasks seemed daunting. I was praying and reading my bible but I continued to decline.
I had an ah ha moment when I turned off the television and sat in silence for awhile. I didn't realize how the total quiet could sometimes be such a balm for the overloaded mind.
I had forgot how to just be still and quiet. It seems it is in the stillness that the Lord speaks to us.
He spoke to my spirit and said disconnect from those who claim to know and rely on the one who does.
Matthew 6:25-34 tells us that we don't need to try to figure it out. We don't need to worry.
God is all power and He is in control. All we have to do is trust in Him with all our hearts and lean not to our own understanding but acknowledge Him and He will direct us. Proverbs 3:5-6

Thank you for this. I don't watch the news anymore because not sure what's the truth in it. I try to stay away from the negative things on T.V. it's hard to do.
