He Spoke It

When creating the universe God SPOKE it into being. Genesis 1:3, 6, 9, 11, 14, 20, 24, 26, & 29 “And God said”
While Jesus was sleeping in the boat a storm arose. The disciples cried out in fear. Matthew 8:24-27 Jesus SPOKE to the storm and the disciples were astonished that even the winds obeyed his voice.
This reminds me of one of my favorite songs “Child your cries have awoken the Master” Regardless of what we are going through, all it takes is us crying out to Jesus. He will arise and bring comfort, peace and strength and he will speak to whatever your situation is.
The morning I got the news that my daughter had died, it felt like the universe shifted as though there had just been a massive earthquake and I could hardly stand from the reeling in my mind.
I remember being on the floor prostrate before God and crying out to him in my pain, my spirit groaned within me and with words that were probably only audible to him, I remember saying I can’t do this, I need you and no matter how bad this hurts and how many questions I have I will praise you because you are a good God and I can’t make it without you. My cries reached heaven and he enveloped me with his peace that truly does pass all understanding.
God SPOKE to my grief day and the days that followed and he told that grief, "you will not consume her!"
Whatever you may be going through today, your cries DO reach the Father and he will see you through, he will speak to whatever storm is raging in your life. You can trust the only one that even the winds obey.

Me too sister. I couldn’t make it without him. I did write this. I just wanted to share just how faithful God is and how he can see us through anything.
So thankful he brings comfort and strength. Naomi did you write this? I think about you a lot on the subject. I am struck by what you have gone through with having a daughter myself.
